Yesterday I watched the latest "Detective Conan Movie #10." It was pretty cool. I need to watch the tv to understand the sub-plots. The character designs, voice talent, and background all blended well. I can't believe this series has been around for over 10 years. I really hope Shin'ichi and Ran get back together. Well I have to wait until 2007.

Its too bad that the US failed to call the TV show by it original name. You stupid industry people. The show is named after Sir Authur Conan Doyle (Writer of Sherlock Holmes) not Conan the Barbarian. Sometimes these people are so frelling.... well at least I can enjoy the original while I'm here in Tokyo.

I also got to see a trailer for the newest Ghibli Film: "Gedo Senki - Tales from Earthsea." I have got to say that is a very good film. I am surprised why Miyazaki-san dosen't want his son to direct this film. The way I see it, Goro is following in his father's footsteps. Well I guess that is a personal issue. Either way I'm excited to watch this film. I'll watch it with my mom when she gets back. We can use our student discount.

Time for more studying. BLAH...

And the winner is...

The best animated film for 2005 was Wallace and Gromit Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

The only nominee I got to see was Howl's moving castle. I guess now I have to go see Wallace and Gromit on the big screen. I can bet that there will be a lot of people in Tokyo wanting to see the Oscar Film.

Well I just want to say congrats to Nick Park. He also one best Animated short a couple years ago. So I guess the circle has been complete.

It was a tough race between three great directors: Nick Park, Tim Burton, and Hayao Miyazaki.

Behold the power of Cheese...
